Pledge
One small commitment. Every day.
The deshort pledge
- I remove short‑video entry points from my default browsing (Shorts/Reels in listings).
- I keep intention: if I open a short video, I do it by direct link—on purpose.
- I protect deep time: I schedule at least 30 minutes a day for focused work/learning without feeds.
- I model this for kids: we don’t normalize compulsive scrolling as “just entertainment.”

I’m joining the #deshort movement. Short‑form video is engineered to hijack attention. I’m removing Shorts/Reels from listings so scrolling isn’t the default. deshort.com

Today’s small change: - Hide YouTube Shorts + Facebook Reels in listings - Keep direct links working (intention stays) If you want to try it: deshort.com
Want this for your school / team?
We can publish a short “playbook” for classrooms, families, and teams (settings + routines + boundaries).
